• SARA E. CHASE SCHOLARSHIP
This scholarship honors our first State president. The goal is to assist state members in pursuing graduate study, performing significant professional research, or doing a book-length piece of professional writing. Regulations and the application can be found on the State website (above). Applications for up to $2,500 must be received by the State Chairman of Scholarships by April 15th for summer, June 1st for fall or academic year study/research/writing awards. • CHRISTA MCAULIFFE LIVING MEMORIAL FUND
The purpose of this fund is to provide stipends for Alpha Upsilon members to attend conferences or workshops not affiliated with DKG. Guidelines and the application are on the State website (above). The deadline is November 1st for conferences and workshops held during the school year. The deadline for summer conferences and workshops is March 1st.

GOLDEN GIFT LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT SEMINAR
This seminar is offered to develop leadership, communication, and management skills for members. The program consists of two weeks of leadership training at the University of Texas in Austin. This opportunity comes along only once every two years (in the even-numbered years preceding our International Convention). Only 30 members worldwide are accepted for this program. The deadline for the July, 2018 Seminar will be announced (if it will be held). The application and more information regarding the Golden Gift can be found on the DKG website.
INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP FUND
DKG offers up to 30 scholarships annually to enhance the fulfillment of its fifth purpose, “to endow scholarships to aid outstanding women educators in pursuing graduate study”. Awards are made in the amount of $6,000 for master’s candidates and $10,000 for doctoral candidates. The applicant must be a DKG member for at least three years by February 1st of the application year and be enrolled in a graduate program, preferably pursuing a doctoral degree.
Applications must be submitted electronically by February 1st.

LUCILE CORNETET AWARDS FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
The Lucile Cornetet Professional Development Fund is administered by the Educational Foundation. It provides assistance to educators in two ways:
1. LUCILE CORNETET INDIVIDUAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AWARD The Cornetet Individual Awards are available to all employed educators. They are given to assist educators in their participation in professional development opportunities through approved professional development providers such as colleges, universities and professional organizations other than DKG. Awards will fund participation in conferences, seminars, lecture series, National Certification, online courses, workshops and other non-degree programs. Awards may fund travel, lodging, meals, pay for substitutes, registration fees, etc. No award will exceed $2,000. Applicants may win only once; however, they may apply up to two times a year. There are three rounds with total funding of $60,000.
Applications must be submitted electronically by February 1(for March-October), May 1 (for June-February), and September 1 (for October-May) of each calendar year.
2. LUCILE CORNETET PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SEMINAR AWARD
The Cornetet Professional Development Seminar Award (up to $10,000) assists regions, areas, or state organizations of The DKG Society International to sponsor professional development seminars that are open to all educators, both DKG members and non-members. The award may be used to fund consultant/ presenter fees, venue rental, seminar materials, and A-V equipment rental. Only state organizations, their districts or areas, may apply to sponsor a professional development activity.
Applications must be submitted electronically by November 1 of each calendar year.
3. PROJECT AWARD
The Educational Foundation awards funds to groups or individuals for projects to benefit children and education. The updated application form for the January 2016 cycle is posted on www.dkgef.org/projects.
Awards given for one year (July 1st to June 30th) and can be renewed. Application due by January 3rd.
THE EMERGENCY FUND: Members who sustain major loss from floods, tornadoes, hurricanes and other natural disasters may be recommended by their chapter and state organization president to receive a $500 Emergency Fund Award.
