Have you wallowed in the Great Boston Molasses Flood of 1919? Stood awestruck in the magnificence of J. P. Morgan’s library on Madison Avenue in New York City? Walked ten miles on New Year’s Eve in Manhattan with Lillian Boxfish? Suffered with the women criminals exiled from England to Australia in the early 19th century?
The DKG Book Club members have. Their spirited discussions of The Dark Tide by Stephen Puleo, The Personal Librarian by Marie Benedict, The Exiles by Christina Baker Kline, and Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk by Kathleen Rooney have enlivened their monthly meetings on Zoom since December.
May’s novel brings a love of mystery and music with The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb, a “one town-one book” selection in Sharon. The books for June and July are The Thursday Murder Club, first in a series by Richard Osman, and Lessons in Chemistry by Bonnie Garmus.
